Plenty of room in the back to make a cuppa while watching the rain, mist and occasional snow shower. We probably would chicken out and book tourist accommodation for sleep overs - but who knows?!? From: John Hutchinson Date: Tue 10/24/06 1:34PM Message: Hi Team It took a very long time to get home (34 hours door to door) with a 14 hour flight from Singapore and we're only just recovering from jetlag. We were very pleased with our hiring of your Backpacker Sleepervan. It was only about half the price of Britz and the excess of $1,200 was very reasonable compared with Britz $5,000! The van was small, as we expected, but very well designed and very comfortable for driving, sitting and sleeping. It was in good mechanical condition and went very well - we covered over 2,000km in our 16 days, and it started immedaitely every time, even after very cold, wet & windy nigts on the west coast! We were particularly pleased to be picked up from the airport and taken back at the end - we were suprised to be on our way only half an hour after arriving at Christchurch. Seven months after first contacting you & we have just returned to Ta**ie from a magic 24 day, 5000km, South Island Holiday in the company of 'Noah' the Sleepervan. He was a perfect gentleman - went everywhere we asked without a grumble - in all sorts of weather & over all sorts of roads. Easy to drive automatic (for someone with 40+ years of manual driving experience). Very safe on the roads. Great view from the extra height in the van. Very comfortable driving position. Lots of cuppas & snacks in the comfortable rear of the van. Excellent equipment level. Lots of envious admirers as we travelled the island - many from small cars which had been much more expensive to hire - & those with larger vans who couldn't go to all the places we managed. Great service from all the team from our first contact last October to the end of our holiday. Roll on next visit to NZ, when we will contact you again. Many thanks. From: John Hutchinson Date: Sat 05/26/07 8:06PM Message: We were thrilled with our campervan. We travelled both the South & North Islands for 18 days and it never missed a beat. It was very comfortable and everything we needed was supplied. We arrived in NZ (from Australia) on Xmas night and were wanting to pick the van up on Boxing Day. Most of the other companies we contacted were unable to do this. As we were starting a 3 day trek the day after, we were concerned about getting supplies on the Boxing day, and emailed Sleeper Vans in Christchurch quite frequently leading up to our trip with questions and unusual requests. They were ALWAYS very helpful. The staff in Auckland, where we made our drop off, were equally obliging. Can't wait for our next trip. We're coming over next month to do the Sth Island. Your suggested itineraries are really great... gives us an idea on how to pace ourselves. We'll hire a sleepervan with you and look forward to a superb tour of the Sth Island.
